In 2024, we had the incredible opportunity to visit Cyprus and spend a week volunteering at two local animal rescue centres. It was an unforgettable experience, full of wagging tails, sandy paws, and plenty of love.

Our days were spent helping wherever we could: walking the dogs, grooming the puppies, and giving each one some much-needed care and attention. Many of these dogs have had difficult starts in life, so being able to give them comfort, exercise, and affection even for a short time was truly rewarding.

We were amazed by the dedication of the local volunteers and staff who work tirelessly every single day to care for these animals. Their commitment and compassion are inspiring, and we were proud to be able to play even a small part in their efforts.

Coming home, we were reminded how important it is to support rescue centres whether here in the UK or abroad. A little time, love, or a small donation really can make a big difference.

A huge thank you to everyone at the Cypriot rescues who welcomed us, we’ll never forget our week with you (and your wonderful dogs!)
